Publicis announced Tuesday the appointment of Nannette LaFond-Dufour as chief impact officer, a newly-created position designed to drive the company forward in environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria.

The advertising and communications group says that Nannette LaFond-Dufour, formerly of McCann, will be responsible for commitments to climate targets and its actions in areas such as diversity, equality and inclusion.

She will also be in charge of the 'Working with Cancer' initiative, already endorsed by over 1,500 companies worldwide, with the aim of combating the stigma of cancer in the workplace.

Arthur Sadoun, Chairman of the Management Board, points out that his group has outperformed the sector on all key commercial and financial indicators over the last four years, but also boasts best-in-class ESG initiatives.
