In order to realize the Company's commitment to fostering a culture of Occupational Health and Safety (K3), PT Bukit Asam Tbk or PTBA implement Fireman Certification Class D which followed by 25 employees at the Learning Center of PTBA.

With the certification program, PTBA seeks to provide added value in preventing the losses incurred due to the wildfire by increasing the effectiveness of firefighter operations and to build preparedness or readiness of companies in the face of fire emergencies.

The program is also expected to increase the knowledge of fire fighter on wildfire from the start the system, equipment and skills of firefighters themselves, improve the competence of firefighters according to standards, Boost confidence in the operation of firefighting and certification requirements for firefighters.

As known, in the mining industry are prone to fire hazards, the reliability of the fire protection equipment, fire prevention procedures detail and competence firefighters appropriate standards is an absolute requirement to be considered by the management.

Two aspects of fire prevention, the equipment and the procedure, can be said to be inactive. While the competence of the fire fighters is an aspect of dynamic element.
