PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam Tbk : Establish Communication Harmonious, PTBA Holds Press Gathering

The presence of the mass media, particularly for a company such as PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk., is very important to promote the company's performance to stakeholders and society. Realizing this, PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk or PTBA held a Press Gathering or complaisant, the relationship, between directors and management PTBA with jounalist who were in Muara Enim and Lahat, at the Recreation Hall, PTBA's Base Camp, Tanjung Enim, Wednesday, January 11 2016.

President Director of PTBA Ir Arviyan Arifin said the event aims to tighten the relationship and establish good communication and harmony between PTBA with jounalist.

'Gathering this we must do often, so that good communication and harmony between PTBA and media can be established,' said Arifin Arviyan in his speech at the event.

Also present at the occasion, the board of directors and management of PTBA as well as the Chairman of PWI Muara Enim Andi Chandra and no less than 40 journalists from various mass media.

Ariviyan Arifin asserted, the media has a big role because it can make the black to white, the white to black, gray and even that can be black or white. While PTBA is an asset owned by the state and also the people who live around the area of operations, especially the Muara Enim and Lahat, so its presence must be maintained.

'We want a relationship with the media can be established, so that the assets we dear in together can we maintain and develop and can continuously provide benefits for all stakeholders, state and nation, especially for people who are on the ring one PTBA,' he said.

Arviyan added that so far the media in the region of PTBA very helpful to convey the corporate information, such as copoprate performance, Corporate Social Responsibility programs and matters relating to the benefit of society.

He also said, in the terms of the making news, journalists are expected to be able to make impartial news.

'We certainly hope that a lot more positive. If positive, please immediately reported, but if negatives please confirm beforehand. In the term of religion, tabayyun first, 'said Arifin Arviyan.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Muara Enim, Andi Chandra, welcomed the event which initiated by PTBA. According to him, relationship between PTBA and journalist have been well established over the years. And journalist will continue to perform his duties as a social control.

'As members of the press that his job as a social control, we will continue to criticize PTBA. Certainly not the origin of the criticism, but do constructive criticism for the sake of the common good,' said Andi Chandra.

Andi Chandra added, the progress that has been achieved PTBA is an honor for the people of Muara Enim.
