Jakarta, 31 October 2023 - PT Bank Central Asia TBK (BCA) introduces the Manulife USD Fixed Income (MANUFIX) Kelas A Mutual Fund, which is managed by PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia (MAMI). This newly launched fund represents BCA's commitment to consistently fulfilling its customers' investment needs, a dedication further reinforced by the partnership between BCA and MAMI, one of Indonesia's foremost investment management firms.

BCA Director Haryanto T. Budiman explained, "During this opportunity, BCA collaborates with MAMI to introduce an alternative investment solution known as the MANUFIX Kelas A. This initiative coincides with a growing trend in investments, as evidenced by the increase in mutual fund investors in Indonesia exceeding 14% in Q3 2023 compared to the previous year. Furthermore, it aligns with the interests of our customers, as BCA has seen its own mutual fund investor base growing by more than 16% in Q3 2023 on a YoY basis. Additionally, BCA's wealth management managed funds have experienced a substantial growth of more than 40% year-over-year as of Q3 2023. In this context, it is crucial for investors to continue exploring alternative investment products in order to diversify their investment portfolios. Therefore, BCA offers the MANUFIX Kelas A as a solution to address the high investment needs and interests of our customers."

The MANUFIX Kelas A is an addition to the existing range of MAMI mutual funds offered by BCA. Prior to this, BCA offered the Manulife Saham Syariah Asia Pasifik Dollar AS (MANSYAF) Mutual Fund and the Manulife Obligasi Unggulan (MOU) Kelas A Fixed Income Mutual Fund. The launch of the MANUFIX Kelas A provides BCA customers with another investment choice, allowing them to diversify their investment portfolio.

To achieve this, it primarily invests in short-term Indonesian government bonds with maturities of less than three years. The MANUFIX Kelas A Fixed Income Mutual Fund can be acquired with a minimum investment of USD 100, especially for purchases through the Welma feature in myBCA application. It can also be purchased at BCA branch offices that facilitate mutual fund transactions.
