Piraeus Bank Group reached an agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB), enabling Piraeus Bank and Piraeus Leasing to participate in EIB's new EUR 400 million leasing finance initiative.
This initial agreement of EUR 25 million enables Piraeus Bank, through its subsidiary Piraeus Leasing, to provide leasing finance for equipment and real estate, with favourable terms, to SMEs and MidCaps across almost all sectors of the Greek economy.
Piraeus Leasing, the leading company in its sector in Greece, finances productive investments, through leasing finance for fixed assets, to satisfy the needs of SMEs and MidCaps, especially those with an export orientation.
As part of this agreement, additional incentives will be provided for companies creating necessary job opportunities, through EIB's 'Jobs for Youth' initiative to promote youth employment.
