Philippine Seven Corp. formally opened its 1,000th 7-Eleven store in the country at the I.T. Building of the Greenfield District in Mandaluyong City. The latest store opening serves as another milestone for the Philippines' convenience store chain operator, as it surpasses its performance of 500 stores in 28 years by doubling this figure in just three years.

Even with the influx of competitors, 7-Eleven remains unshaken, responding with more aggressive expansion and continuous innovation. PSC targets to open 300 more 7-Eleven stores in 2014. One of PSC's plans is to continue expanding in Visayas by opening more stores in Cebu, Bacolod and Iloilo.
