PRESS RELEASE The Appointments and Compensation Committee

Parmalat S.p.A. communicates that today the Board of Directors has appointed as new members of the Appointments and Compensation Committee the following independent directors: Marco Jesi and Ferdinando Grimaldi Quartieri, appointing Gaetano Mele, already member of the Commitee, as Chairman.
Marco Jesi and Ferdinando Grimaldi Quartieri succeed to the directors Daniel Jaouen and Antonio Sala who have resigned from their positions as Members of the Appointments and Compensation Committee.
The new members have resulted independent in accordance with article 3 of the Code of Conduct of Borsa Italiana, art. 147 ter, para 4, of the Legislative Decree n. 58/1998 as well as art. 12 of the company's By-laws.
Consequently, the Appointments and Compensation Committee is now composed by:

¾	Gaetano Mele,	Chairman of the Committee, Independent Member
¾	Marco Jesi,	Independent Member
¾	Ferdinando Grimaldi Quartieri,	Independent Member
