COLUMBUS, Ohio - January 7, 2019 - The Tube Fittings Division (TFD) of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, welcomes Precision Fitting & Gauge (PF&G) as a member in its Certified Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Distributor Program.

The addition of PF&G as a Certified CNG Distributor demonstrates Parker's continued focus on CNG expertise to help support growth within the market and meet local customers' needs by offering customers the benefits of its CNG market experience. PF&G stocks an appropriate inventory of CNG-related tube fitting products and has tube flanging and bending equipment to provide custom tube assemblies. The company also provides support, including tube fabrication, equipment rental, and training for efficient CNG station infrastructure development. In addition, PF&G has a dedicated CNG salesperson to support both OEM and end-user customers.

'We are pleased to welcome PF&G as the newest member of our Certified CNG Distributor Program,' said Emily Guerra, Business Development Manager, Parker Tube Fittings Division. 'PF&G is focused on providing a full spectrum of Parker Tube Fittings Division's products and services for CNG-fueled vehicles, service stations and other infrastructure needs.'

'In 2011 Precision Fitting and Gauge recognized the need to diversify and enter the emerging CNG market,' said Jeremy Wilcox, Vice President Hose Products/Alternative Fuels, PF&G. 'We immediately dedicated a team to research the market. This led to investing in added warehouse space, inventory, and highly skilled CNG employees to help service the needs of this important market.'

A cornerstone of the Certified CNG Distributor Program is Parker TFD's Seal-Lok® O-ring Face Seal (ORFS) fittings for compressed natural gas applications. These fittings are resistant to both over-tightening and vibration, which eliminates the leakage issues caused by these factors. The flat face sealing surface of these fittings allow for ease of assembly with zero clearance installation and replacement.

Parker Seal-Lok for CNG fittings, used in CNG applications for more than 10 years, provide reliable fuel conveyance. Using a hydrogenated nitrile O-ring, it offers ozone resistance and supports wide temperature range requirements. It also conforms to NGV 3.1, ECER110, and ISO 15500 for on-vehicle CNG applications, and recently passed Bonfire Testing in accordance with ANSI/CSA NGV 2.

Certified CNG distributors also have Parker Parflange® flanging systems, which produce fast, high-quality 90° flange tube connections on both rigid and coiled tube commonly used in CNG infrastructure. The Parflange system is a repeatable process that ensures consistent tube flange every time which is crucial to station builds.
