Pandora A/S reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was DKK 5,655 million compared to DKK 5,155 million a year ago. Net income was DKK 934 million compared to DKK 992 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was DKK 9.9 compared to DKK 10 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was DKK 9.8 compared to DKK 9.9 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was DKK 11,344 million compared to DKK 9,655 million a year ago. Net income was DKK 1,929 million compared to DKK 1,621 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was DKK 20.5 compared to DKK 16.3 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was DKK 20.3 compared to DKK 16.2 a year ago.
Pandora A/S specializes in the design, manufacturing and marketing of jewelry and related items. Net sales break down by product family as follows:
- charms and carriers (78%);
- other (22%): rings, necklaces, pendants, earrings, chains and diamonds.
At the end of 2023, the group had 6,686 points of sale (of which 2,651 concept stores) worldwide.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Denmark (0.1%), the United States (29.9%), the United Kingdom (14.4%), Italy (9.7%), Germany (4.9%), Australia (4.8%), France (4.5%), China (2.8%) and other (28.9%).
