Optivision Technology, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was TWD 272.01 million compared to TWD 447.24 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 56.14 million compared to net income of TWD 1.57 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.01 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.03 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.01 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.03 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was TWD 667.59 million compared to TWD 944.4 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 43.87 million compared to net income of TWD 37.94 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.79 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.65 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.79 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of TWD 0.64 a year ago.
Optivision Technology Inc. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacturing and sale of backlight units key components, such as brightness enhancement films (BEFs) and multiple function optical prism films. The Company's products are applied in backlight modules of thin film transistor-liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCDs), used for terminal products such as LCD televisions (TVs), notebooks, LCD monitors, cell phones, digital cameras, global positioning system (GPS) machines, digital photo frames, moving picture experts group layer-3 auto (MP3) displays and other consumer electronic products.
