Butte, Mont.- January 9, 2012 - NorthWestern Energy crews will be working in the town of Lincoln over the next several weeks. Customers may experience an outage lasting two-three hours while work is being completed in their area. Crews will knock on customers' doors to inform them of the outage on a block-by-block basis as the work is concluded.

This work is part of NorthWestern Energy's Distribution System Infrastructure Project (DSIP) to improve the system's safety and reliability throughout NorthWestern's service territory including Lincoln.

Removing part of the redundant double circuit running along Highway 200 through the town of Lincoln will improve reliability for customers living in the area by either reducing the duration of future outages or eliminating them all together.

Customers with questions may call the Customer Contact Center at (888) 467-2669.
