Nizhnekamskneftekhim : representatives took part in IPTF-2017

Nizhnekamskneftekhim representatives took part in the V International Polymer Technology Forum (IPTF) held in St. Petersburg in June.

Marat Fatykhov, the Head of the Polymers Promotion Division, has delivered the report on 'Product line-up of Nizhnekamskneftekhim'. He shared information on the company's development of new polypropylene grades (high-fluid grades of random copolymers and block copolymers, impact-resistant and frost-resistant propylene copolymers), polyethylene (for casting covers and caps, for rotational molding) and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE).

The Company continues to work on substitution of imported grades of propylene copolymers. Their combined share in the total polypropylene output has increased from 58% in 2014 to 86% in 2016. The Company plans to develop bimodal block copolymer.

The key direction in the production of Nizhnekamsk polyethylene is to increase the output of LLDPE. In this regard, the Company specialists are working to expand the grades assortment of this type of polyethylene, including grades suitable for rotational molding, blow molding and multilayer film production. For this purpose, direct contracts will be signed with stretch film manufacturers.

During the discussion with technical experts of processing companies, discussed were the quality indicators and applications of the already existing plastic grades produced at Nizhnekamskneftekhim. At the same time, the Company's significant contribution to the replacement of imported polymers and the high quality of Nizhnekamsk plastics were noted.
