Neoen announces that it has won a 300 MW / 4-hour capacity contract from the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), as part of a call for tenders initiated by the Western Australian Coordinator of Energy.

These services will be provided by a second 341 MW / 1,363 MWh Collie Battery unit, to be built by Tesla and UGL and connected to Australia's West Coast Electricity System (SWIS).

Including Collie Battery Stage 1, currently under construction and with a capacity of 219 MW / 877 MWh, the two units will be able to charge and discharge 20% of the SWIS grid's average demand", emphasizes the renewable energies group.
