RBS is awarding grants worth up to £50,000 to organisations that are running programmes which inspire and encourage young people to start-up and succeed in business.

Through the RBS Inspiring Youth Enterprise grant funding programme, £500,000 is available in two funding rounds during 2014 to not-for-profit organisations that support people up to the age of 30 to gain the skills and confidence necessary to launch and run a start-up enterprise. This might be helping them to set up in business, delivering enterprise education, innovative networking events, developing entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, or something completely new and different.

Qualifying organisations can apply for grants from the first round up until 12 noon on Friday, 31 January 2014.

Application details and full eligibility criteria are available on the Inspiring Enterprise website.

RBS has already awarded grants in previous rounds of funding to 40 organisations which have in turn inspired over 5,000 young people on their entrepreneurial journey. The bank has committed to help 100,000 young people to explore enterprise, develop their skills and start up in business, whatever their background, by the end of 2015.
