Mitsui Sugar Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2019. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of JPY 28,795 million compared to JPY 26,693 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 1,398 million compared to JPY 1,134 million a year ago. Profit was JPY 1,503 million or JPY 48.10 per share compared to JPY 2,052 million or JPY 72.26 per share a year ago.
For the full year ending March 31, 2020, the company forecasts net sales of JPY 113,000 million, operating income of JPY 5,100 million and profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 2,600 million or JPY 97.98 per share.
The company expects to pay dividend of JPY 25 per share for the second quarter of fiscal year 2020 compared to JPY 55 per share paid a year ago.
