Minera Frisco, S.A.B. de C.V. announced earnings and operating results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2018. For the quarter, the company's net sales were MXN 3,631.4 million compared with MXN 3,641.0 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 778.5 million compared with MXN 119.9 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 1,915.9 million compared with MXN 1,839.5 million a year ago.
For the year, the company's net sales were MXN 14,397.3 million compared with MXN 14,869.8 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 168.5 million compared with MXN 1,433.2 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 1,883.9 million compared with MXN 230.3 million a year ago.
For the quarter, the company's gold production was 53,792 Oz compared with 65,540 Oz a year ago. Silver production was 1,823,048 Oz compared with 1,750,468 Oz a year ago. Copper production was 6,394 tonnes compared with 5,216 tonnes a year ago. Total production was 6,332,499 tonnes compared with 8,073,573 tonnes a year ago.
For the year, the company's gold production was 248,339 Oz compared with 320,640 Oz a year ago. Silver production was 7,726,894 Oz compared with 8,414,151 Oz a year ago. Copper production was 27,290 tonnes compared with 19,602 tonnes a year ago. Total production was 26,686,338 tonnes compared with 35,208,199 tonnes a year ago.
Minera Frisco SAB de CV is a Mexico-based company engaged in the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources. The Companyâs main activities comprise the production and sale of lead-silver concentrates, zinc concentrates, copper concentrates, copper in cathode and gold and silver rods. The staged operations include the location, investigation and compilation of information in the prospective areas considered for possible existence of minerals; conducting detailed geological study in the prospective areas, and finally conducting exploration methods directly in the prospective areas as a result of the previous stages.
