MCC CIE Wins Bidding for Nanning Express Ring Road Comprehensive Improvement Supervision Project

　　On December 26th, MCC CIE successfully won the bidding for the Nanning Express Ring Road Comprehensive Improvement Project (Xiuling-Youai Flyover) Renovation Supervision (Recent) Project. It will undertake the supervision of such construction stage contents as roads, bridges, water drainage (rainwater and sewage), auxiliary lighting, landscaping, sponge city works and traffic facilities, as well as the defect liability period.

　　This project mainly includes the renovation of two flyover nodes: Xiuxiang Avenue-Xiuling Road and Xiuxiang Avenue-Youai Road. Notably, the current bridge of Xiuling Flyover will be removed and reconstructed. Youai Flyover will be reconstructed into a three-layer full interchange with a combination of semi-cloverleaf and semi-directional types in both short and long-term phases. The main line of Xiuxiang Avenue has a length of 1,856.477 m; the main north-south line of Anji Avenue and Youai North Road has a length of 1,113.241 m; and the main line of Xiuling Road has a length of 419.415 m. Ramps A, B, E, F and H, and collector-distributor lane JS will be added to Youai Flyover. Ramps A, B and H will be comprehensively constructed without changes over a long period. Ramp E and collector-distributor lane JS will be comprehensively constructed with partial changes over a long period. Ramp F is partially constructed. The total construction length of the ramps and collector-distributor lane is 2,443.025 m; and the total construction length of the auxiliary lane and turnaround lane is 4,145.923 m. The recently constructed bridge area covers 15,735.2 m2; the prestressed concrete box girder area covers 8,225.7 m2; and the steel box girder area covers 7,509.5 m2.

　　Located on the North Ring of Nanning Express Ring Road, Xiuling-Youai Flyover is one of seven important flyovers on the North Ring. Xiuling Flyover is a node of the sub-arterial Xiuling Road and express ring road Xiuxiang Avenue. Youai Flyover is a node of Anji Avenue, Youai North Road and Xiuxiang Avenue. The implementation of this project will improve Nanning City's traffic conditions and ease traffic congestion in the Chengbei Area.
