TROY, Mich.,(Jan. 11, 2011) - Meritor, Inc. (NYSE: MTOR) has announced the winners of the 2011 Aftermarket Performance System awards, an internal recognition of its global Aftermarket facilities that achieved the best performance in lean implementation.

In 2011, 18 Meritor Aftermarket locations in 10 countries on five continents were evaluated in five areas of performance: safety, quality, delivery, cost/productivity and people. This year's winners are:

· Platinum: Parts Distribution Center (PDC) of Florence, Ky.

· Gold: North America Reman Operations of Plainfield, Ind.

· Silver: Parts Distribution Center (PDC) of Monterrey, Mexico

"Each year, our global teams put forth a dedicated effort to implement lean manufacturing and successfully deliver quality products to our customers on time," said Joe Mejaly, president, Aftermarket & Trailer, Meritor. The Meritor Lean Manufacturing System is built from the strengths and tools of the Meritor Performance System. It emphasizes hands-on employee involvement focusing on sustaining performance improvements. The system is designed for all levels of participation at Meritor.

The three winning Aftermarket facilities were honored with a crystal statue signifying the successful implementation of lean manufacturing.
