MEDIOBANCA BRINGS THE CEOS OF THE LARGEST LISTED

ITALIAN COMPANIES TOGETHER WITH LEADING

INTERNATIONAL INVESTORS

The Italian CEO Conference, the event organized by Mediobanca now in its ninth year, is taking place on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 June 2023. The conference brings together the CEOs of over 50 listed Italian companies with more than 200 Italian and international institutional investors from the leading investment boutiques.

Alberto Nagel, CEO of Mediobanca, will kick off the proceedings at the two-day event, with around 900 meetings between companies and investors scheduled, plus the round-table discussions on specific topics.

"Our CEO Conference has become the go-to event for investors looking at Italy. Today and tomorrow we will have opportunities to discuss the prospects in terms of digitalization of financial services and the conversion to a sustainable economy with the management of the largest Italian listed companies, and also to find out what's actually happening on the ground, in the real economy as a whole", said Alberto Nagel, Chief Executive Officer of Mediobanca. "In a situation like today's world which is rapidly changing, banks have a crucial role to play in supporting businesses and households, and their solidity can help mitigate the risks deriving from inflation and rising energy prices. As a result of the strong decisions taken by the regulators during the pandemic, and the huge efforts made in recent years in terms of de-risking, Italian banks are now much better placed to tackle these difficult times, in terms of both capital and liquidity."

The first day of the conference will be devoted to the financial sector, with a speech by José Manuel Campa, Chairperson of the European Banking Authority, followed by talks from Andrea Orcel (webstreaming here2.00 - 2.45 p.m. CEST), CEO of UniCredit, and Stefano Del Punta, CFO of Intesa Sanpaolo.

A special session on day 1 will focus on the digital revolution and the impact of big tech on the traditional banking model. Participants will hear from Emanuele Ratti, Director of Financial Services for Google Cloud, and from Mariona Vicens, Head of Digital Transformation and Advanced Analytics at CaixaBank, on these topics.

Day 2 (Wednesday) will be given over to energy and infrastructure companies, with talks from Stefano Besseghini, Chairman of ARERA, Stefano Venier, CEO of Snam, Pietro Labriola, CEO of Telecom Italia, and Francesco Gattei, CFO of ENI.

The day 2 round-table discussion will focus on the energy transition. How can we guarantee a fair transition and ensure access to the new technologies? Participants will hear from Renato Mazzoncini, CEO of A2A, Paolo Dellachà, CEO of De Nora, and Luca Dal Fabbro, Chairman of Iren, on these issues.
