Maruti Suzuki India has appointed Shashank Srivastava as the new head of sales and marketing with immediate effect. He will replace senior executive director Randhir Singh Kalsi who is slated to retire in a few months and is likely to take an advisory role. Kalsi, on the other hand, has been promoted to executive board where he will supervise all the operations including sales and services. Kalsi was made the head of sales & marketing after Mayank Pareek quit MSIL in 2014 and joined Tata Motors. Srivastava had served as chief general manager and second in command in the sales and marketing till 2012. He spent his entire career in the same vertical.
