There could soon be a new strike at Lufthansa - among the cabin crew.

The flight attendants' union UFO has broken off wage negotiations. "Lufthansa's latest offer is not sufficient either," it said in a circular to members on Wednesday. There are no further negotiation dates. UFO also signaled its willingness to strike. "The sharpest sword of a trade union is so obvious that we don't even have to say it separately," it said. "But one thing is clear: we are also prepared to take the path of last resort." Most recently, flight attendants and pilots went on strike together at Lufthansa subsidiary Discover Airlines on Friday. The Verdi union also largely paralyzed operations at eleven German airports on Thursday with a one-day industrial action by security staff.
