BERLIN (dpa-AFX) - Lufthansa has so far flown out more than 660 German citizens and their family members from Israel, which is under attack by Islamist Hamas, with its first three special flights on Thursday. The German Foreign Office (AA) said Thursday that the first three flights from Tel Aviv were on direct routes to Frankfurt as well as Munich. Further flights would follow on Thursday in the course of the afternoon and on this Friday.

Germans who had registered on the Foreign Office's precautionary list for crisis information had been able to register for the flights. Lufthansa had agreed to offer up to four flights each from Tel Aviv on Thursday and Friday./bk/DP/men
