LMS Co., Ltd. (KOSDAQ:A073110) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to KRW 10,000 million worth of its own shares pursuant to a contract with NH Investment & Securities Co., Ltd. The purpose behind the program is to improve shareholder value and to stabilize stock price. The repurchase program will expire on September 28, 2020. As of March 26, 2020, the company had 2,067,767 treasury shares within scope available for dividend and no shares in treasury through other repurchase.
LMS CO., LTD. is a Korea-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture of prism sheets for back light units (BLUs) used in liquid crystal displays (LCDs). The Company operates its business through two divisions: display business division and optical information business division. Its display business division provides prism sheets that increase the efficiency of light to brighten the LCDs, which are used in mobile phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), car navigations, laptop computers, LCD televisions (TVs) and others under the brand name HLAS. Its optical information business division provides small optical components, such as pick-up grating elements, wave plates, polarization filters (PFs) composite devices, polarizing hologram devices and others for compact discs (CDs), digital versatile discs (DVDs) and others. The Company also involves in the rental business.
