SANTA PAULA, Calif. (AP) _ Limoneira Co. (LMNR) on Monday reported a loss of $4.9 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.

The Santa Paula, California-based company said it had a loss of 28 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 26 cents per share.

The agribusiness company posted revenue of $33.5 million in the period, exceeding Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $27.6 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $3.4 million, or 23 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $166 million.
