(Alliance News) - Leonardo Spa on Monday released the outcome of the Prometeia 2022 Study, aimed at representing the company's impact, in the production ecosystem of the Lombardy Region.

The report shows that "the company is at the heart of a supply chain that collectively contributes about EUR2.7 billion to the regional GDP, or 0.8 percent of the total, and up 28 percent from 2018. The value brings Lombardy to the top of the ranking in Italy in terms of impact on the GDP produced regionally by Leonardo, and every euro of added value created by the company generates, on average, two additional euros in the territory," the company reports.

"We are constantly committed to improving tools to enhance the production ecosystem of the territories where we operate, focusing, first and foremost, on the development of a long-term sustainable supply chain capable of supporting the growth of employment, skills and technological innovation of the entire domestic system: Leonardo's initiatives to support the supply chain are competitive levers that benefit the security and development of the country," says Alessandro Profumo, Leonardo's CEO.

Leonardo trades in the green by 2.2 percent at EUR9.11 per share.
