Media Release 6 March 2015 VISION FOR BARANGAROO SOUTH UNVEILED IN REVISED CONCEPT PLAN

Lend Lease has submitted its revised Concept Plan for Barangaroo South, known as Modification (Mod) 8, to the New
South Wales (NSW) Department of Planning and Environment.
Mod 8 provides detail on the proposed future of the precinct, including the landmark integrated resort and the highly- anticipated next stage of residential apartments. Lend Lease is pleased to announce these residential towers will be designed by one of the world's finest architects, Pritzker Prize winner, Renzo Piano.
Lend Lease's Barangaroo South Managing Director Andrew Wilson said: "The revised Concept Plan represents an exciting vision for one of the most significant harbour projects in Sydney's history."
In the revised design, Lend Lease maintains its original ambition to dedicate more than half of the 7.68 hectare site to public space. Proposed features for the community include a waterfront promenade, neighbourhood park, urban square and harbour cove with direct access to the water.
"We have ensured that all of the public benefits that we originally proposed in our 2010 plan remain in Mod 8, such as complete harbour-front access and vibrant community spaces. We are also delighted to announce today that we have partnered with one of the world's finest architects, Renzo Piano, to design our final stage of residential apartments called One Sydney Harbour," Mr Wilson said.
Momentum continues on site with construction well underway on previously-approved elements including the two residential waterfront buildings, Anadara and Alexander, and the Rogers Stirk Harbour designed commercial buildings, International Towers Sydney. Lend Lease looks forward to welcoming its first residents and tenants in the second half of this year.
"It will be great to see Barangaroo come to life and we are looking forward to progressing to the next stage of development so we can extend a warm welcome to all Sydneysiders in the future. This unique site is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create something truly special for Sydney and we encourage everyone to provide their feedback on the revised Concept Plan," Mr Wilson said.
Plans, imagery and information about Barangaroo South's revised Concept Plan will be placed on Public Exhibition by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment in the near future, to enable the community to have their say on the Revised Plans and the future of Barangaroo South.
