Bloomberg's GEI measures gender equality across internal company statistics, employee policies, external community support and engagement, and gender-conscious product offerings. Those included on this year's index scored at or above a global threshold established by Bloomberg to reflect disclosure of information and the achievement or adoption of best-in-class statistics and policies.

Leidos attained best in class in several categories, including: Number of Women on Board of Directors, Conducting Gender-Based Compensation Reviews, Global Minimum Weeks Paid Maternity, various Childcare and Medical Services, Employee Resource Group for Women, Recruiting Strategy for Women, and Member of Gender Equality Organizations.

"We're honored to be recognized for our commitment to diversity because it drives innovation in everything we do at Leidos," said Roger Krone, Leidos Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We focus on cultivating a talented workforce by attracting and retaining employees with differences in thought, style, and perspectives. This aligns with our core values and the way we operate every day."

"As investors continue to seek more information on companies' approaches to environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, the 2018 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index allows investors to compare companies' commitments to gender equality across industries," said Kiersten Barnet, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Chairman at Bloomberg. "More data and greater transparency in this space will allow investors to make better-informed decisions and help companies better understand their own progress towards gender equality."
