Lazard World Dividend & Income Fund Inc. is confirming, pursuant to its level distribution policy, as previously authorized by its board of directors, a monthly distribution of $0.07822, equivalent to 6.5% of the fund's net asset value per share as of the close of markets on December 31, 2012 on the fund's outstanding common stock. The next distribution is payable on January 23, 2013 to shareholders of record on January 11, 2013. The ex-dividend date is January 9, 2013.
Lazard World Dividend & Income Fund, Inc. is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is total return through a combination of dividends, income and capital appreciation. The Fund will pursue this objective through a world equity strategy and a short-term emerging markets and debt strategy. It will invest substantially all of its net assets in between 60 to 90 world equity securities and less of the assets in short-term, emerging market forward currency contracts and other emerging markets debt instruments.
