Laureate Education, Inc. Announces Board Changes, Effective July 17, 2020

On June 24, 2020, Victoria Silbey notified Laureate Education, Inc. of her intention to resign from her position as Senior Vice President, Secretary, Chief Legal Officer and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer of the Company, effective as of July 17, 2020, to pursue another opportunity outside the Company. Richard H. Sinkfield III will succeed Ms. Silbey in the role of Chief Legal Officer. Over the past 15 years, Mr. Sinkfield has served in positions of increasing responsibility at the Company, most recently as Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Latin America.
Laureate Education, Inc. operates a portfolio of degree-granting higher education institutions (Laureate International Universities network) in Mexico and Peru. Laureate International Universities network offers a range of undergraduate and graduate degrees through campus-based, online and hybrid programs. It has approximately 450,000 students enrolled at five institutions with over 50 campuses. It has two segments: Mexico and Peru. It owns Universidad del Valle de Mexico (UVM) and Universidad Tecnologica de Mexico (UNITEC) in Mexico.
