Interroll posts record figures

23 January 2017, Sant'Antonino, Switzerland. The internal logistics expert Interroll successfully continued its growth strategy and achieved record figures in 2016: Order intake reached CHF 405.2 million (+5.2% compared to the previous year) and net sales CHF 401.5 million (+11.3%).

Operating profit (EBITDA) is expected to be at least 10% higher and net profit at least 20% higher than in the previous year.

At CHF 405.2 million, order intake in 2016 was 5.2% higher than in the previous year (+4.4% in local currencies). The company recorded the highest order intake in its history.

Supported by a particularly strong fourth quarter in 2016, net sales in the reporting currency rose by 11.3% to CHF 401.5 million (+10.4% in local currencies), which also corresponds to a company record value.

Organic sales growth contributed 11.2%.

New highs also expected for earnings

The operating result (EBITDA) is expected to be at least 10% and net profit at least 20% higher than in the previous year. The improvement in results is mainly due to higher net sales, high cost and investment discipline as well as productivity improvements implemented across the Group.

The 2016 Annual Report with the final results will be presented at the Annual Results Press Conference in Zurich on 24 March 2017.

The Group has started the 2017 financial year off well by posting a record order intake. Innovative new products, efficient development and manufacturing know-how as well as a strong global market position in dynamically growing end markets of internal logistics are supporting Interroll's further growth prospects.
