Intact Gold Corp. announced that it has received analytical results from a recent exploration program on the Ortona property. The fieldwork took place over the course of 8 days and included mapping, sampling and prospecting. In total 24 rock samples and 3 till samples were taken over the project. Intact gold has recently received the results of the Rock Samples. Five hand samples, between 1.9kg and 3.5kg each, exceeded detection limit, ranging from 6ppb to 5.6 g/t. Of those samples exceeding detection limit, the mean was 1.14 g/t Au and the median was 0.015 g/t. The 5.6 g/t sample (3.19kg) was taken in the southern portion of the property by prospecting outcrops close to known showings. Significant correlation between gold and other anomalous elements suggest hydrothermal activity as source of the gold in the assay. Interpretation of these results, as well as the results from the till sampling (which are pending) are still underway. Future exploration work will better define the Property potential and provide subsequent targets for mineral discoveries. Fieldwork has also been completed on the Blackjack property. Sample results and final analysis are still pending. For both properties, samples were taken from selected outcrops and sealed in plastic sample bags along with identification tags. No QA/QC samples were incorporated into the sampling methodology for the short exploration programs that were completed. Samples were sent to Bureau Veritas Mineral Laboratories, from British Colombia. Work included crushing to 200 mesh (250 grams) followed by a fire-assay fusion with an AAS finish and 4 acid digestion ICP-MS analysis. It should be noted that all rock samples were selected samples and are not necessarily representative of mineralization hosted on the properties.
