Trane Leader Discusses Benefits of High Performance Buildings at ACRECONF 2012 New Delhi, India (Jan. 12, 2012) - High performance buildings make good economic sense. The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) reports that high performance buildings usually provide lifecycle energy and operational savings of 20 to 50 percent a year.

Michel van Roozendaal, vice president of service, controls, turnkey and aftermarket for Trane - a brand of Ingersoll Rand - in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa, discussed the business benefits of high performance buildings at the ACRECONFevent in New Delhi on Jan 12 and 13.
In his presentation, van Roozendaal addressed the audience on beginning the journey to creating a high performance building and building stakeholder support for it. He highlighted the Pritech Park Special Economic Zone (Phase 1) office park in Bangalore, India, which recently received the prestigious LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) India Platinum award for core and shell from Indian Green Building Council.
Trane High Performance Buildings complement building industry standards and help owners link the physical environment of a building to a business mission. Trane applies a unique methodology that combines financial, operating and energy analysis with specialized systems and services.
High performance buildings take a whole building approach to performance while creating spaces that are reliable, safe, healthy and efficient. They meet specific standards for energy and water consumption, system reliability and uptime, environmental compliance, occupant comfort and other factors. All standards are set to deliver established outcomes that help building owners and occupants achieve their business missions and reduce environmental impact.
