Implenia AG has secured two new infrastructure contracts in Norway worth CHF 21 million, or around NOK 187 million. This includes a combined bridge and road project on the R3 highway in Alvdal that Implenia is carrying out for the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. It involves replacing an existing bridge as well as local roadbuilding measures.

The bridge is a technically demanding network wooden arch bridge with a span of around 88 meters. The contract is worth around CHF 10 million. The work started in December 2014 and is scheduled for completion by September 2016.

The Norwegian Public Rail Administration has awarded the contract for building a continuous girder bridge over the Stjordal river near Trondheim airport. This will allow for a twin-track section that will greatly help local commuter railway traffic. Implenia is responsible for the substructure and the concrete work for the pillars, as well as for the steel structures.

The bridge is approximately 200 meters long and 10 meters wide. The contract is worth around CHF 11 million. The work starts this month and will be completed by December 2015.
