Tokyo, August 31, 2017 - IHI Corporation (IHI) announced today that FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading Unit) Hull for BW Offshore was delivered on August 30.

FPSO is a floating vessel used for production and storage of crude oil from subsea oil and gas field. In this project, IHI undertook the construction of FPSO Hull while the topside process units were undertaken by its client.

FPSO, now named 'BW Catcher', will be transported and installed at Catcher field in UK North Sea after the delivery at Singapore and chartered by Premier Oil, an independent oil and gas exploration and production company in UK. It assumes the start operation within 2017.
