On January 8, 2015, Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P. issued a statement responding to Herbalife Ltd's statements dated January 7, 2015. In the statement, Pershing Square stated that rather than speaking to its deteriorating business fundamentals, the Company is attempting to distract investors from the facts by claiming that Pershing Square has cancelled a meeting. In addition, Pershing Square stated that to set the record straight, it has released all correspondence between Pamela Jones Harbour, the Company's Chief of Global Member Compliance and Policy, and David Klafter, Senior Counsel at Pershing Square.

Further, Pershing Square commented that the Company did not comment as to the reasons behind the stock price decline.
