Hengdian Entertainment Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021. For the first quarter, the company announced sales was CNY 838.064 million compared to CNY 97.066 million a year ago. Operating income was CNY 169.437 million compared to operating loss of CNY 153.349 million a year ago. Net income was CNY 171.157 million compared to net loss of CNY 140.002 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was CNY 0.27 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of CNY 0.22 a year ago.

The Advertising Business segment is mainly engaged in the provision of venue advertising and film patch advertising and other related services. The Cinema Distribution Business segment is mainly engaged in the provision of cinema services through its cinema chains. The Companyâs major releasing films include Top Funny Comedian, Rock Hero, Ten Thousand Years Later, Love Will Tear Us Apart and others.
