HYK Partners Successful in Blocking Emily Lee to Become an Executive Director

On February 15, 2021, HYK Partners announced that, Emily Lee Cho's bid to become an executive director of Hanjin Transportation has hit a barrier, as HYK Partners has succeeded in blocking discussion of her possible appointment during Hanjin Transportation's general shareholders meeting scheduled for March 25, 2021. Further, HYK Partners stated that, it is working toward achieving another goal of adding its own picks to Hanjin Transportation's board of directors.
HANJIN TRANSPORTATION CO., LTD. is a Korea-based company engaged in the provision of transportation services. The Company mainly operates in land transportation business, which provides truck transportation and railroad transportation; delivery business, which provides door to door parcel services to overseas countries; stevedoring business, engaged in the operation of container yard and container freight stations and the provision of cargo handling services, and marine transportation business, which provides coastal shipping services with radioactive waste ships, container carriers, bulk carriers and others.
