Grupo TMM, S.A.B. Announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced total revenue was MXN 300.7 million compared to MXN 276.4 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 31.9 million compared to MXN 27.2 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 41 million compared to MXN 44.4 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.4 compared to MXN 0.4 a year ago. For the half year, total revenue was MXN 569 million compared to MXN 635.3 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 131.8 million compared to MXN 11.6 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 119.9 million compared to MXN 30.7 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was MXN 1.2 compared to MXN 0.3 a year ago.
Grupo TMM, S.A.B. is a logistics and transportation company. The Company provides ocean transportation services, including maritime, ports and terminals management and logistics services, to clients throughout Mexico. The Company operates in three segments: maritime division, logistics division, and ports and terminals division. The maritime division includes the transportation of liquid petroleum and petrochemical products in bulk, materials and supplies for drilling platforms, as well as tugboat services. The logistics division includes warehousing services and logistics solutions. The ports and terminals division includes terminal services and shipping agency activities. It provides its services through a fleet of approximately 40 vessels, which include product and chemical tankers, harbor tugs and offshore supply vessels. The Company operates three Mexican port facilities, Tuxpan, Tampico and Acapulco.
