Bright Blue Foods Ltd. agreed to acquire cakes and desserts business in Hull from Greencore Group plc (LSE:GNC) on January 29, 2018. The Hull site will trade under the name of BBF (Hull) Ltd. This sale, together with the announced closure of the desserts facility in Evercreech, marks Greencore's exit from the UK cakes and desserts sector. Jonathan Lill, Bright Blue Foods' chief executive officer, will head up the Hull site with support from the Bright Blue Food board of directors. The transaction is expected to complete in early February 2018.
