On March 20, Great Wall Motors released its business performance report for 2014, posting total operating revenues of 62.599 billion yuan, up 10.24 percent year on year; a net profit of 8.042 billion yuan attributable to the listed company's shareholders; a total profit of 9.64 billion yuan; and earnings of 2.64 yuan per share. By late 2014, Great Wall Motors' total assets had reached 61.345 billion yuan.

Data show Great Wall Motors' operating revenues soared in 2014. According to the report, the key reason for business growth is that Great Wall Motors optimized its product structure, continued focused on the SUV category, built high cost-effective products, and was committed to improving its after-sales service level so as to increase its SUV sales. At the same time, Great Wall Motors' net profit edged down on the substantial growth of R&D input.

In 2014, Great Wall Motors sold 733,000 units and launched a variety of new models densely, including compact SUV Haval H2, mini SUV Haval H1, all-terrain seven-seat SUV Haval H9, high-performance pickup Wingle 6, and modified models such as Great Wall C50 Update, Great Wall C30 2015 and Haval H5 2015.

Based on future development strategy , Great Wall Motors will launch more SUV models in a bid to become a top world SUV brand. It is expected to launch Coupe C, Haval H7, and Haval H8 as well as the modified editions of its existing SUV models. In the pickup and car categories, it will launch the annual editions of the existing models. Also, it will increase the R&D input of new energy products, improve the fuel economy of models powered by traditional energy sources, and develop products related to new energy vehicles.

In addition, Great Wall Motors will continue to increase R&D input and deepen technical cooperation with internationally renowned parts manufacturers, to further improve its product quality. In terms of sales, it will proceed with the campaign of "winning at terminals" to improve its presales, in-sales, and after-sales service levels.

Meanwhile, Great Wall Motors released an announcement on the launch of Haval H8. According to the announcement, through close cooperation with ZF, upon repeated analysis and matching validation, the abnormal knocking produced by the driveline system of Haval H8 running at high speed has been eliminated thoroughly. Haval H8 has met the launch conditions, and will be launched during the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition.
