Great China Metal Ind. Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 2,424.711 million compared to TWD 2,136.004 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 222.161 million compared to TWD 217.572 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 176.256 million compared to TWD 184.573 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.58 compared to TWD 0.61 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.58 compared to TWD 0.6 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 4,267.830 million compared to TWD 3,522.134 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 355.525 million compared to TWD 285.805 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 298.056 million compared to TWD 249.371 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.98 compared to TWD 0.82 a year ago.
Great China Metal Ind. Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and sales of cans and caps. The main products of the Company include aluminum cans, iron cans, aluminum caps, iron caps, polypropylene (PP) plastic caps and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) films. Its products are applied in the manufacture of packaging products for beer, tea, coffee, soda drinks, fruit juice and canned meat, among others. The Company operates its businesses in Taiwan, China and Vietnam.
