(Alliance News) - GPI Spa has announced that the temporary business grouping led by the company has won the tender for the implementation of the Lombardy Region's regional electronic medical record.

The EUR32.7 million contract, the company explained in a note, calls for the supply of the EHR application solution based on a single technology platform extended to all 19 Health Authorities in the Lombardy Region. GPI's 38 percent share is worth about EUR12.4 million.

The overall duration of the supply is four years: in the first year the analysis, development, testing and acceptance activities, including training and start-up for the first group of fourteen Health Entities will materialize; within the second year the start-up of the remaining five entities is planned. This will be followed by full-scale management of the solution once the start-up is complete.

"The awarding of this tender constitutes an element of great satisfaction for the value recognized to the proposal presented, which includes solutions with high technological content and the ability to implement projects of high size and complexity," comments Fausto Manzana, CEO of the GPI Group.

GPI's stock trades in the green by 0.7 percent at EUR14.44 per share.
