Global Water Resources, Inc. Announces Board Changes

Global Water Resources, Inc. has appointed Ron L. Fleming, the company’s president and CEO, as the new chairman of its board of directors. Fleming succeeds Trevor Hill who is retiring from the board, effective December 31, 2018. Hill has served as a director since he co-founded Global Water in 2003, and as chairman since 2013. David Tedesco, a member of the board since 2012 and current chair of the compensation committee, was also appointed lead independent director. Fleming has served as the president and CEO of Global Water since January 2015. Earlier, he served in various roles, including as interim chief executive officer, chief operating officer, vice president and general manager from 2007 to 2014, and as senior project manager for engineering and construction from 2004 to 2006. Tedesco serves on the board of directors of Global Water as the lead independent director and chairman of the compensation committee. He is the founder and CEO of True North Companies, one of Arizona’s largest and most active private investment firms. Earlier, Tedesco was CEO of Intrasight.
Global Water Resources, Inc. is a water resource management company. It owns, operates, and manages 29 water, wastewater, and recycled water systems in strategically located communities, principally in metropolitan Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona. It seeks to deploy an integrated approach, referred to as Total Water Management. Total Water Management is a comprehensive approach to water utility management that reduces demand on scarce non-renewable water sources and costly renewable water supplies, in a manner that ensures sustainability and communities both environmentally and economically. It treats water to potable standards and also treats, cleans, and recycles wastewater for a variety of non-potable uses. Its water supplies are derived from groundwater. It serves more than 82,000 people in over 32,000 homes within its 408 square miles of certificated service areas. It provides water and wastewater utility services under the regulatory authority of the Arizona Corporation Commission.
