WSE and Exchange Members Representatives Meet

  • Another meeting of the WSE and brokerage houses (Exchange Members) representatives took place on 10 January.
  • The main topics discussed:
    (1) status of replacement of technology on the WSE (UTP system) and in brokerage houses
    (2) timetable of the trading session on the Warsaw Stock Exchange
    (3) terms of co-operation between the WSE and Exchange Members

Another meeting with representatives of the brokerage houses which are Exchange Members took place in the WSE head office on 10 January 2013. The participants discussed the status of the project of replacing the trading system on the WSE and the IT systems of the brokerage houses. The first day of availability of the new trading platform UTP, set at 15 April 2013, was reconfirmed.

In regards to the trading timetable, the participants agreed to exchange the most recent analysis prepared by the WSE and the broker community and to appoint a joint task force responsible for drawing coherent and uniform conclusions from the analytical material. The conclusions will be presented as soon as possible to the Exchange Management Board and the Exchange Members and will be the basis for decisions concerning the trading timetable.

The participants also agreed to appoint a separate team to analyse other solutions in respect to the organisation of exchange trading in order to offer new investment opportunities to investors while expanding the business of the WSE, brokerage houses and other participants of the capital market.

The WSE announced the creation of a standing professional platform of co-operation with the broker community. The operating details of the platform will be published shortly.
