Europorte, Getlink's rail freight subsidiary, announced on Friday the signing of a strategic partnership with Kerlink, a specialist in the Internet of Things (IoT).

In a press release, the two groups state that they have jointly developed a joint traceability and monitoring solution for freight activities (road, rail, air and sea).

This 100% French sovereign solution will enable goods to be tracked in near-real time, alerts to be received of any flow disruptions, and maintenance operations to be anticipated.

On the technological front, the industrial application, dubbed 'Track Value', will be based on data transmission via Kinéis' space connectivity.

It is due to go on sale in the third quarter of 2024.
