Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. intends to increase its capital reserves by about 4 billion over the span of next three years via sale of peripheral businesses, Chief Executive Officer, Mario Greco, said. "We expect the total benefit to the business from the disposal of non-core assets, including those already mentioned, as well as possible others, will bring in around 4 billion of regulatory capital by end 2015," Mario Greco told reporters. A part of the proceeds from the sale will be sued to repay Generali's debt, he said.
