Garmin continues to expand its global aviation chart coverage with the release of European terminal charts, including instrument approach charts, SIDs, STARs, and airport diagrams. These charts are the most recent addition to the growing list of worldwide aviation charting products available from Garmin, which are compatible with select Garmin avionics and portables. Additional charts such as ground movement charts and airport diagrams are also available as part of the European FliteCharts database.
European FliteCharts provide enhanced situational awareness when used with Garmin products because they offer pilots geo-referencing capabilities for many approaches. This feature conveniently overlays the aircraft position onto the chart so pilots can easily identify their progress in-flight as they fly an approach.
European FliteCharts cover the following countries for the initial release:
Austria
Belgium
France
Germany
Italy
Luxembourg
Netherlands
Switzerland
United Kingdom
Pilots may download European FliteCharts from flyGarmin.com without the need for additional software updates to their Garmin products. The new European FliteCharts are compatible with Garmin portables capable of displaying terminal charts, including the GPSMAP 695/696, and aera 795/796. Additional compatibility is offered for the G3X, G3X Touch and select certified avionics, including the GTN series, G500, G600, G1000, G2000, G3000, and G5000.
European FliteCharts are available today starting at $124.95 as a single purchase or as part of Bundle or PilotPak database subscriptions. For additional pricing information, visit flyGarmin.com.
