(Alliance News) - Galliford Try Holdings PLC on Friday announced it had signed two contracts for public sector building projects.

The Uxbridge, England-based construction group said the contracts had a combined worth of GBP101 million.

After closing a deal with the Home Office, the company's Building Southern business will complete a GBP70 million immigration detention facility in Campsfield.

In addition, the Building East Midlands business signed a GBP31 million contract with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation to refurbish and build office space at RAF Wyton as part of the governments Pride II project.

Chief Executive Bill Hocking said: "These appointments, in key markets for our Sustainable Growth Strategy, are testament to our strong track record in collaborating successfully with both organisations."

As outlined in the company's last annual report, the strategy aims to increase revenue to GBP1.6 billion in 2026 from GBP1.39 billion in 2023, through the development of existing markets and expanding into those that are adjacent.

Galliford Try shares were up 2.7% to 266.00 pence each in London on Friday morning.
