First Trust MLP and Energy Income Fund declared the fund’s monthly common share distributions for the month of February, March and April 2019 of $0.10 per share for each month. Payable dates are February 15, 2019, March 15, 2019 and April 15, 2019 respectively. Record dates are February 4, 2019, March 4, 2019 and April 2, 2019 respectively. Expected ex-dividend dates are February 1, 2019, March 1, 2019 and April 1, 2019 respectively.
First Trust MLP and Energy Income Fund (the Fund) is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fundâs investment objective is to seek a high level of total return with an emphasis on current distributions paid to common shareholders. The Fund seeks to provide its common shareholders with a vehicle to invest in a portfolio of energy companies. The Fund, under normal market conditions, invests at least 85% of its managed assets in equity and debt securities of master limited partnerships (MLPs), MLP-related entities and other energy sector and energy utility companies. The Fund invests in various sectors, such as oil, gas and consumable fuels, electric utilities, gas utilities, chemicals, water utilities, construction and engineering, energy equipment and services, and semiconductors and semiconductor equipment. First Trust Advisors L.P. serves as an investment advisor for the Fund.
