Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna discusses the company's journey towards electrification, with developments in Formula One and a supercar in 2013. Ferrari currently offers six hybrid models. These models accounted for almost 50% of Ferrari's sales in the first quarter. Vigna says the next step will be to launch a fully electric car.

He says Ferrari's electric motor will offer a different thrill to typical mass-market electric cars. Ferrari is not looking to imitate the features of other cars but to reinterpret the technology to create something unique.

Vigna is confident about the new vehicle, although Ferrari will only accept orders when the product is officially launched. Specific details about the electric car remain undisclosed until its launch, scheduled for the fourth quarter of next year.
